Artist’s Statement.

My favorite dinosaur is a Parasaurolophus - a two-legged plant-eater with a bone crest on the back of its head and duckbill face. What is your favorite dinosaur? I focus on telling prehistoric stories and sharing nature's unbelievable breadth of living organisms. I hold your hand as we walk out of today’s stresses and land our time machine on Earth as it was. We use the truth that no great reign lasts forever to combat fears of enormity, complexity, and the unknown. The ephemerality of life, nature, and situation reminds us to embrace change. With a renewed enthusiasm for knowledge sparked by visions of our past we will surf the waves of our future and not hide from the tsunami’s power. My mixed media and digital work tries to reinvigorate your childhood obsessions and feed the energy that ignites your curiosity engine. Think back to when you had your wide-eyed epiphany moments and harness that for good.

My scientific photography work has been featured in research publications and public displays including Peter M. Galton’s redefining paper on the anatomy of Stegosaurus and the Utah Bureau of Land Management’s Bone Wars Highway landmark signs.

Artist Maxwell Kale’s newest book “Leaping Lizards” will feature my copy and selected artworks. Coming Winter 2022!
